This is a image and poem that is very dear to me and very much a source of great healing, graditude, and identity. I wrote this poem two nights after finding out that, at 28 years old, I had testicular cancer. I free falled to the lowest point in my life, that being sitting in my truck, alone, at the doctor's office parking garage after just being told, and calling my mother and father to tell them the news. However, after two days of letting God pick me up through the support of my family and friends, I was at the top of the mountain. At the end of the day, which included church, an afternoon with my family, and sunday night bowling league where I almost bowled a 700, I found myself unable to fall asleep for the sheer joy of my day, of the amazing moments and people not only in my day, but my life that have revealed exactly who God was and still is to me. I kept saying this over and over in my head and heart, "My God and so, or this and that." I got up and wrote this in one draft.

I do not doubt who God is.

The image in the background is of a small statuette that my counselor from high school had giving me before my surgery.

BTW - I only have one nut left. The right one, literally and figuratively. :)
